I know two posts in one day...pretty sure that was all I wrote in entirety last year. I have another update to give besides signing up for the 3 Day again. For the past month and a half...I have been going to the gym. I have been eating better. And...I have lost weight!! For the first time in my adult life, I feel like I have the gusto to keep going and stay committed to being healthy. The goal when I began was simply being active, and having the side benefit of losing weight. To date, I have only missed two workouts...both due to the stomach flu. I work out 4 days a week. Once a week with a friend who is keeping me going and pushes me farther than I think I can go. The other three days, I am at the gym on my own, with my friend but a text away, making sure I am there. I know I am so committed this time in part to my friends support. Though she isn't there everyday, she is supporting me everyday and cheering me on. She helps me celebrate my achievements no matter how small, and helps me get back on the right track when I want to veer off in another direction.
So here are the stats for you...since March 2, I have lost 11.5 pounds, three inches off my waist, and 3% body fat. I also increased the number of sit ups I can do in a minute from 10 to 27. Which in my book is huge, because after 3 babies, I have no core whatsoever!!!
So what goals have you set and achieved? What keeps you going?
